Eyelashes, also known as cilia, are a type of hair that grows from the eyelid. Like all hair, eyelashes have a growth cycle that consists of three phases: anagen, catagen, and telogen. The anagen phase is the active growth phase, during which the lash grows rapidly. This phase can last anywhere from 30 to 45 days, depending on the individual.
